Texas Tech University has done extensive engineering for shelters. Please consult their designs before wasting money on an inadequate shelter. Good to know this one in the video is in canada so it is not likely to see a F5 tornado.

This looks like OUR plan and I keep telling the architect and my husband FOX Blocks can do it and they are making it waaassy to complex!!! I told them we CAN do concrete exterior and or interior walls AND we CAN do it on second elevations, AND it WILL pass energy codes!!! They are driving me crazy because I KNOW it will do all these things and we do not need to “fir out” anything OR building framing on EITHER of the wall sides , nor do we need EXTRA insulation via wood framing to meet codes! Sheesh!! They don’t believe me. Do you guys have a sheet that says what fox blocks CAN and Cant do, and HOW it CAN do all these things! Also why is the R factor not easy to find I know it’s like R29 or so but you can add energy sticks to jump up those R numbers! Now I need to know how you work with large windows along walls and also what kind of system works best with fox blocks for 2 story gable roofs? Our house is an H shape.

How does one become a dealer for this product? I live in northern Utah and I know of only a hand full of homes in this area that fox block has be used... I'm feeling that the future will bring more n more demand ... I have a couple good good wearhouse to start up with and some land I own that is in a good location to hopefully expand with a couple more wearhouses when things really get pooming

Oy... AGAIN!!! Another annoyingly shaky, eye-bleedingly-quivering video. Really, guys, for 50 bucks more, you can get a cellphone camera with SERIOUS image stabilization! Or a couple hundred more for a pro video camera. Think of all those other social media influencers whose camera work is putting this amateur-looking video effort to shame! Nice material you're covering, but the jaggedy-jarring shakiness is headache-inducing after watching two or three of these.

Why is the camera work so reminiscent of someone experiencing Delirium Tremens? Seriously.... cameraman's hand never stops shaking throughout this entire presentation. If he's ALWAYS shaking like this, it might be time to invest in a camera with automatic video stabilization for a more professional look. Viewed on a 44" screen, that shakey-shakey is like sandpaper on the eyes.

It would be great if you could do a video on the Fox Blocks Compact Corbel/Brick Ledge Panel and how they are employed/attached to a 10" or 12" standard ICF block. Better yet, maybe Fox Blocks could start making 10" & 12" corbel blocks.

I wish Fox Blocks would redo these old videos. They are all amateurish...rushing through it and moving around too quickly to get a clear view of what he's talking about. For instance, do we get a clear view of the backside of the buck and how the plastic ties interface with the concrete? No we don't. Also, he seems to have a chip on his shoulder, wanting to criticize other products instead of just extolling the virtues of Fox Blocks. The videos need to be more scripted. He's winging it.

Using a circular saw with the blade depth adjusted seems to me a better choice than using a chain saw like the last video I saw.

I’m surprised that some company hasn’t thought of imbedding a small wire in the flange which would be easily detectable.

My dad had a patent filed and Fox Block took that public information and decided to make the block that was my dads creation. As a result, my dad couldn't fight back because he was a little guy and Fox Block was wealthy but they didn't get the key part of my dads idea because he never mentioned it in the patent. Fox Block didn't change a thing of what my dad designed. All they did is slap a name on it and called it their own. I really do hope that some day justice will be served!

When installing cabinets and we know the layout before hanging sheetrock, like in a kitchen, we install plywood directly to the ICF wall in lieu of sheetrock and the same thickness. This makes hanging cabinets very easy. Like the video shows we have "stud" finders that kind of work, so we often resort to a punch and move technique. As long as whatever you are hanging is larger than 8 inches (so as to cover your line of holes) start by punching a hole through the sheetrock and the icf about 2-1/4" deep. If you meet no resistance move horizontally an inch and repeat. You should find the plastic furring strip within 8". Then the other stirps are spaced 8 inches to either side (8" on center). Crude but it works, particularly for hanging permanent fixtures like cabinets.

Is fox blocks doing anything about the termite issues? If the blocks are below grade. Many parts of the country you can not get a termite treatment certificate! Must have for building permit!!
